Solution Consultant - Operation - Contractor

Overview

The primary objective of this role is to design, deploy, manage, and troubleshoot SaaS solutions across both cloud platforms and on‑premises environments. The consultant will partner with developers, product owners, engineering and customers to ensure that every SaaS offering is secure, highly available, and delivers measurable business value for our clients in the energy sector and beyond.

• Translate customer requirements into robust SaaS architectures—multi‑cloud, hybrid, or on‑prem.
• Produce high‑level and detailed design documents, network diagrams, and security control matrices.
• Lead end‑to‑end provisioning of SaaS workloads on AWS, Azure, GCP, and on‑prem VMware/Hyper‑V environments.
• Automate deployment pipelines using IaC tools (Terraform, ARM, Cloud Formation, Ansible).
• Own day‑to‑day health monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning of SaaS services.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues spanning networking, compute, storage, and security layers.
• Provide Tier‑2/3 support to internal teams and external customers, maintaining detailed incident records in Service Now and Jira.
• Implement security best practices—Zero Trust, IAM, encryption, vulnerability management.
• Conduct technical workshops, knowledge‑transfer sessions, and mentor junior engineers.
• Evaluate emerging cloud services, networking technologies, and security tools, and recommend adoption where beneficial.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent. 5+ years of hands‑on experience managing SaaS platforms in cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on‑premises data centers. Proven track record in network design (routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, SD‑WAN).

• Strong background in security operations (IAM, encryption, vulnerability scanning, incident response).
• Container/orchestration:
  Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE).
• IaC/Automation:
  Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible, Power Shell.
• Monitoring & logging:
  Cloud Watch, ELK, Splunk.
• Ticketing/ITSM:
  Service Now, Jira.
• Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Google Cloud Professional).
• Security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, GICSP) – plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
