PMO & Portfolio Management Consultant – Accenture – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Accenture is seeking a PMO & Portfolio Management Consultant to support the planning, governance, coordination, and reporting of multiple security‑related projects for a large banking client in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on establishing and operating effective project and portfolio management practices across a complex environment involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, delivery teams, and business functions. Cybersecurity expertise is not required; however, experience managing technology, transformation, risk, compliance, or security‑related projects is an advantage.
Responsibilities- Portfolio Management – Support the management of a portfolio of security‑related projects by maintaining a consolidated view of project status, priorities, timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, budgets, and key decisions; develop and maintain portfolio dashboards, executive reports, and management updates; track portfolio performance; identify cross‑project dependencies; support prioritization discussions; ensure portfolio governance forums are properly structured and documented.
- PMO Governance and Control – Establish, enhance, and operate PMO processes, templates, reporting mechanisms, governance routines, and delivery standards; maintain project plans, master schedules, RAID logs, action trackers, decision logs, meeting minutes, and status reports; monitor project progress against scope, timeline, cost, quality, risks, and deliverables; support project managers in maintaining consistent project management discipline.
- Stakeholder and Vendor Coordination – Coordinate with client stakeholders, Accenture teams, third‑party vendors, technology teams, risk teams, compliance teams, and business representatives; facilitate follow‑ups on actions, decisions, and dependencies; support meeting preparation and escalation of issues.
- Reporting and Executive Communication – Prepare clear and executive‑ready reports covering portfolio health, project progress, risks, decisions, and milestones; develop dashboards and presentations using PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI, or equivalent; translate complex project information into structured management insights; support leadership briefings and governance presentations.
- Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management – Maintain and monitor RAID logs across projects; follow up on actions and risks; identify early warning indicators; support escalation of critical risks; track mitigation plans and progress updates.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in project management, PMO, portfolio management, program coordination, or management consulting.
- Experience in banking, financial services, technology transformation, risk, compliance, operations, or security‑related programs is preferred.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, governance, reporting, planning, risk management, issue management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience supporting large‑scale programs or portfolios involving multiple projects, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced client environment; strong experience preparing executive‑level reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Strong project management and PMO capabilities.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills; ability to create structured dashboards, trackers, plans, and reports.
- Good understanding of portfolio governance, project controls, RAID management, dependency management, and milestone tracking.
- Strong attention to detail; ability to work with ambiguity and structure complex information.
- Professional consulting mindset and client‑facing presence.
- Fluency in English;
Arabic is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI‑PBA, Agile, Scrum Master, MSP, MoP, or P3O.
- Experience in banking or financial services environments in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
- Experience with portfolio management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Clarity, Service Now SPM, Planview, Smartsheet, PowerBI, or similar platforms.
- Prior experience in consulting or working with large enterprise clients.
