Cloud Computing: Infrastructure & Operations, Systems Engineer
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Manager of Solution Architects to lead the design of scalable secure and high-performing solutions in a cloud-native ecosystem. This role combines technical leadership, strategic foresight, and hands-on solutioning to drive technology transformation across the enterprise. You will lead a high-caliber team focused on modern software architecture, cloud platforms, and robust integration patterns ensuring solutions are aligned with business goals and future-ready.
As a thought leader you’ll guide the architectural direction across cloud-native platforms, microservices, serverless, Dev Ops, and CI CD pipelines ensuring our technology stack remains cutting-edge and business-aligned.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a team of Solution Architects who design systems across multiple business domains and technology stacks.
- Drive strategic technical decisions balancing short-term delivery with long-term scalability, maintainability, and innovation.
- Architect and guide the implementation of cloud-native solutions AWS, OCI, or GCP including compute, storage, networking, identity, and security services.
- Own the creation and maintenance of architecture documentation, including system diagrams using tools like Draw io, Lucidchart, component and container-level views using the C4 model, behavioral modeling via UML sequence, class, activity diagrams, and business process flows using BPMN.
- Define and standardize software development patterns including microservices, event-driven and service mesh architectures, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Hexagonal (clean) architecture, serverless and containerized solutions, event sourcing, CQRS, and saga patterns.
- Apply deep knowledge of integration patterns such as synchronous and asynchronous APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC), messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, SNS), API gateways and service orchestration choreography.
- Promote scalable and reliable design principles using performance engineering, high availability, fault tolerance, and observability best practices.
- Lead architectural governance through design reviews, reference architecture creation, and technology evaluations.
- Define and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies with clear documentation, RTO/RPO planning and resilient cloud architectures.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders engineering, product, security, and business leaders to align on strategic roadmaps and ensure architectural consistency.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies e.g., AI/ML services, edge computing, low-code platforms, and assess relevance to business and architecture strategy.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in software and solution architecture, with at least 1 year in a leadership or management role.
- Deep hands-on expertise in one or more cloud platforms: AWS, OCI, or GCP.
- Solid background in software engineering, with coding experience in modern languages such as Java, JavaScript, PHP, or Ruby.
- Strong experience in enterprise integration, distributed systems, and API-first development.
- Proven ability to think strategically and architect for scalability, resilience, and cost-efficiency.
- Deep understanding of software engineering practices, including CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Dev Sec Ops .
- Strong familiarity with disaster recovery and high-availability strategies (multi-region architectures, backups, failover design).
- Proven experience designing and deploying scalable systems using modern architecture patterns.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to bridge business and technical teams.
- Cloud certifications: AWS/OCI/GCP Architect-level.
- Exposure to data architecture and modern data platforms (e.g., data lakes, real-time streaming, data mesh).
- Strong documentation skills using Draw io, Lucidchart, or similar diagramming tools; C4 model, UML, and BPMN.
- Experience with architecture modeling tools or platforms (e.g., Archi Mate, Sparx Enterprise Architect).
- Familiarity with security-by-design and zero-trust architecture.
- Experience in high-growth, agile environments and digital transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and Git Ops workflows.
