• Lead a team of storage and backup administrators, providing guidance and mentorship, setting goals, monitoring progress, and ensuring the team meets broader objectives.
• Collaborate with internal and global IT teams to complete project work and engage with all levels of management and key stakeholders to develop, implement, and manage support and operational objectives.
• Identify and incorporate future service‑management needs into a well‑considered multi‑year roadmap across support areas, supporting achievement of performance, budget, and team goals.
• Generate custom reports/dashboards and maintain knowledge‑base documentation.
• Perform installation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of storage systems and hyper‑converged infrastructure (HCI) from vendors such as Dell, IBM, and HPE; assist in deployment and configuration of virtualization environments.
• Manage and maintain an organization’s data storage systems, ensuring data availability, integrity, and security through configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of storage hardware and software.
• Ensure all backup solutions are logged, alerting and notifications are enabled, and monitor completion/failure of all backup schedules.
• Work with other IT teams (network, database, application) to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Operate backup solutions, including job creation, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting, and collaborate with senior engineers to support and maintain data‑center infrastructure.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including low‑level design (LLD) and as‑built documentation.
• Support day‑to‑day data‑center operations, including equipment racking, cabling, and hardware maintenance, and ensure backup solutions are disaster‑ready and function correctly in disaster‑recovery situations.
• Define backup policies, recovery objectives, backup schedules, and recovery times with application stakeholders, and provide support to application teams during projects and implementations.
• Apply technology best practices, upgrades, vendor recommendations, and service/operational SLAs/OLAs, while adhering to target KPIs and secure, stable, high‑performing standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Typically 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role.
• Proven experience in infrastructure technology management and proficiency in technical knowledge and teamwork.
• Continuous learner that stays abreast of industry knowledge and technology.

• Advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of Dell Power Max, ScaleIO, Isilon, Dell Data Protection, Data Domain (incl. CRS).
• Relevant storage and backup or infrastructure certifications are a strong advantage.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Fundamentals, or Certified Cloud Practitioner are a plus.
