GIS Specialist
- Spatial Systems is a Civil Engineering opportunity with Parsons Corporation for a Saudi National professional supporting GIS management, geospatial data integration, spatial analysis, and digital project delivery for major Qiddiya development assets. The role focuses on ESRI-based platforms, ArcGIS tools, GIS data governance, BIM and CAD coordination, mapping dashboards, Aconex documentation, and geospatial support for districts, zones, precincts, planning, construction, approvals, and handover activities.

The GIS Specialist will manage and enhance geospatial information systems used to support planning, design, construction coordination, regulatory approvals, and asset handover across a major development programme. This position helps multidisciplinary teams make better decisions by maintaining accurate spatial data, integrating consultant and contractor submissions, producing maps and dashboards, and ensuring that GIS workflows align with client standards, digital delivery systems, and project governance.
The role is especially important for connecting GIS, BIM, CAD, document control, and programme information into a reliable source of location-based intelligence.
- Operate and manage ESRI GIS platforms in line with project procedures, data policies, naming standards, templates, and governance requirements.
- Review, validate, and integrate GIS data submitted by consultants, contractors, delivery partners, and design teams.
- Ensure GIS data is standardized, accurate, interoperable, and aligned with BIM, CAD, project controls, and client digital delivery requirements.
- Conduct spatial analysis, geospatial modeling, geostatistical reviews, and data visualization to support planning and project decision‑making.
- Develop maps, dashboards, web layers, geospatial reports, and ArcGIS Online or Enterprise outputs for districts, zones, precincts, assets, and infrastructure interfaces.
- Maintain GIS metadata, data lineage, revision records, workflow documentation, and quality control evidence in approved systems such as Aconex.
- Check spatial data accuracy, coordinate systems, attribute completeness, topology, layering, and compliance with Qiddiya project standards.
- Coordinate with delivery partners, design consultants, contractors, client teams, and technical stakeholders on GIS‑related interfaces and submissions.
- Support permitting, regulatory approvals, master planning, and coordination with relevant authorities and stakeholders where GIS information is required.
- Provide GIS deliverables for integrated master planning, construction coordination, CSP‑related approvals, handover planning, and asset information management.
- Align GIS workflows with delivery partner systems and recommend improvements to enhance interoperability, data quality, and reporting efficiency.
- Support integration opportunities involving tools such as Fuzor, Autodesk Vault, BIM platforms, CAD systems, and other project digital environments.
- Troubleshoot GIS data, software, access, mapping, dashboard, and integration issues independently and escalating complex technical risks where needed.
- Guide GIS technicians, support junior team members, and train client staff or contractors on GIS standards, workflows, and best practices.
- Prepare clear technical documentation, GIS status updates, workflow notes, mapping outputs, and stakeholder presentation materials.
- Maintain compliance with client IT policies, governance controls, data security requirements, and project delivery standards.
- Work on site in Qiddiya or relocate as required to support active project coordination and programme delivery.
- Saudi National candidate with valid GOSI certification and Government .
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
