We are seeking a skilled Data Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise data platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and data integrity. The ideal candidate will have experience administering relational databases, in-memory data stores, and modern data analytics or AI platforms while supporting data governance, backup and recovery, and performance optimization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise databases and data platforms.
- Ensure database availability, security, performance, and reliability.
- Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
- Implement backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.
- Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with application developers, data engineers, and infrastructure teams.
- Support data governance, data quality, and compliance initiatives.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system configurations.
- Participate in capacity planning and implementation of new data technologies.
- Experience with PostgreSQL OR Microsoft SQL Server OR MySQL OR Oracle Database
. - Experience with Redis OR Memcached OR Apache Ignite for in-memory data management and caching.
- Experience with Dataiku DSS OR Vertex AI OR Azure Machine Learning OR Amazon Sage Maker OR Databricks
. - Database Administration AND Performance Tuning AND Backup & Recovery AND High Availability AND Disaster Recovery
. - Database Security AND User Access Management AND Data Integrity AND Capacity Planning
. - SQL AND Database Monitoring AND Query Optimization
. - Experience with Linux OR Windows Server administration.
- Familiarity with Git AND Git Hub OR Git Lab OR Bitbucket
. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Docker OR Kubernetes
. - Knowledge of cloud platforms AWS OR Azure OR Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Familiarity with ETL OR ELT tools such as Informatica OR Talend OR Apache NiFi OR SSIS
. - Experience with monitoring tools Prometheus OR Grafana OR Zabbix OR Nagios
. - Knowledge of scripting using Python OR Bash OR Power Shell
. - Understanding of Data Governance AND Data Quality AND Master Data Management (MDM).
- Familiarity with CI/CD AND Dev Ops practices.
- Experience supporting analytics, reporting, or AI/ML workloads.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–11 years of experience in database administration or data platform administration.
- Experience managing production database environments with high availability and performance requirements.
- Relevant certifications in PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, cloud platforms, or database technologies are a plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
