Role Purpose
Responsible for the ongoing maintenance, configuration, and administration of Microsoft Fabric at enterprise scale, ensuring secure access, compliance, operational integrity, and support for enterprise data operations across subsidiaries.
Key Activities- Configure and manage user access in Fabric using RBAC and Microsoft Entra
- Manage permissions for work spaces, datasets, and reports
- Create and maintain work spaces
- Apply proper naming conventions and alignment with business unit needs
- Implement security policies, data sensitivity labels, and encryption settings
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, SOC 2, and internal regulations
- Assist in implementing governance frameworks for data lakes and lake houses
- Monitor Fabric capacity units (CUs) and usage metrics
- Optimize system performance and scalability
- Allocate resources efficiently and troubleshoot operational issues
- Ensure platform uptime and availability
- Develop Power Shell scripts or use Fabric Admin APIs for administrative automation
- Automate reporting and monitoring tasks
- Maintain detailed documentation of workspace configurations, access policies, and processes
- Provide technical support and training for end-users
- Collaborate with IT, data governance, and business teams
- Support enterprise-wide data initiatives and integration
- Align Fabric configurations with organizational objectives
- Minimum 3 years in IT administration, with at least 2 years focused on Microsoft Fabric or Azure-based data platform administration
- Hands-on experience managing work spaces, user access, and tenant settings in Microsoft Fabric
- Proven ability to implement security and compliance policies in enterprise data environments
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- Preferred:
Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600) or Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102) certification
- Expertise in Microsoft Fabric administration (workspace setup, Entra n, capacity management)
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview)
- Familiarity with Power Shell or Fabric Admin APIs for automation
- Knowledge of data platform concepts (data lakes, lake houses, governance frameworks)
