Expert Network Engineer

Responsible for the architecture and design of network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, Data Centers, Internet, and Extranets. Acts as a key stakeholder in project implementation and problem management.

• Perform capacity, hardware, and software analysis.
• Design and implement network infrastructure architecture.
• Act as Level 3 support for handling complex issues.
• Participate in a 24×7 on‑call rotation for support.
• Generate network monitoring and performance reports.
• Recommend network design changes to enhance system availability and performance.
• Evaluate, install, and support network systems.
• Assess network requirements and capabilities related to user and business needs and make recommendations.
• Establish and document standards for network architecture and coordinate total network integration.
• Coordinate third‑party maintenance for network equipment.
• Evaluate new technologies and conduct proof‑of‑concepts with vendors.
• Continuously implement new technologies and develop robust architectures to support key business initiatives.
• Participate in various IT projects and collaborate with other IT departments for requirement gathering.
• Create and maintain network documentation and system specifications.

• Advanced understanding of TCP/IP networking, LAN/WAN architecture, and routing protocols.
• Experience with industry‑standard networking platforms such as Cisco.
• Extensive experience in LAN, WAN, and Data Center networks.
• Experience with telecommunication carrier technologies.
• Proficiency with network management tools to analyze, monitor, and troubleshoot network‑related problems.
• Aptitude for learning new network technologies and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong problem‑analysis and problem‑solving skills.
• Capability to produce clear documentation and system specifications from interviews, discussions, and workshops.
• Ability to perform tasks in dynamic, changing situations and under stress.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer‑focused and cross‑cultural awareness.
• Team spirit with the ability to act as a self‑motivated team player or leader.

• ECNR Passport only.
• Proof of 3rd Covid‑Vaccine Dose (Booster) required.
• Pre‑employed by Gulf Link Technologies with a minimum of 7 years of experience for expatriates or 4 years for Saudi nationals.
