Network technician

Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network‑related issues for end users across the district network.
• Work with server, PC, and Mac systems, including internet servers.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot campus and remote‑site network cabling infrastructure, including LAN equipment and related software.
• Use an IT ticketing system to log support requests, monitor progress, and ensure timely problem resolution.
• Track recurring issues, analyze failure patterns, research fixes, and implement effective solutions.
• Communicate regularly with management regarding unresolved or critical technical issues.
• Collaborate with Network Engineers to design, develop, and implement network infrastructure.
• Support Network Engineers in resolving technical issues to ensure smooth end‑user computing operations.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in network installation and operation.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in computer systems maintenance.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with operating systems (Microsoft and Linux, all versions).
• Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience with network cabling, working with all cable types: copper, UTP, and fiber.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with low‑current systems, electrical installations, power generators, and UPS systems.

• Diploma or higher diploma in Computer Technology, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field (preferred).

• Strong knowledge of network installation and operation.
• Experience with managing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network systems.
• Proficiency with IT ticketing systems and incident management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Arabic and English (fluent).
