As a Senior Linux System Administrator, you will be responsible for managing complex Linux-based infrastructure supporting high-performance computing workloads and enterprise applications. You will oversee the administration of HPC compute nodes, Kubernetes clusters, and integrated storage and networking platforms while ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence. The role requires hands‑on expertise in Linux performance optimization, system hardening, patch management, and infrastructure monitoring.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, deploy, and maintain scalable platforms that support demanding business and research workloads. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge compute technologies while driving automation, operational efficiency, and platform reliability across the organization.
- Administer and maintain enterprise-scale Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Manage and support HPC compute nodes, clusters, and associated infrastructure components.
- Deploy, configure, monitor, and maintain Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads.
- Perform Linux performance tuning, capacity planning, resource optimization, and system hardening activities.
- Implement operating system patching strategies and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Monitor infrastructure health, availability, performance, and operational metrics.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Linux, Kubernetes, compute, networking, and storage-related issues.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Ansible, Shell scripting, and Python.
- Integrate compute, storage, networking, and HPC technologies into cohesive infrastructure solutions.
- Support production incidents, root cause analysis, and infrastructure recovery activities.
- Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and architecture teams to improve platform reliability and scalability.
- Implement best practices for infrastructure security, access control, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Continuously improve operational efficiency through automation and process optimization initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong hands‑on experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
- Mandatory Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification.
- Proven experience managing and supporting High Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
- Strong experience administering Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
- Deep understanding of Linux system performance tuning, patching, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with enterprise infrastructure monitoring and observability tools.
- Strong knowledge of compute, storage, server, and networking technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible.
- Strong scripting skills using Shell and/or Python.
- Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within cross‑functional technical teams.
