We are seeking an experienced Senior DPI & Packet Core Specialist to lead the operation, optimization, and lifecycle management of Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) platforms within a mobile operator environment. This role is instrumental in ensuring network visibility, service quality, traffic management effectiveness, and operational excellence across Packet Core and IP infrastructure domains.

As a Senior DPI & Packet Core Specialist, you will take technical ownership of DPI platforms and related network functions, ensuring optimal performance, stability, and scalability across mobile broadband services. You will collaborate with Packet Core, IP Transport, OSS/BSS, and vendor teams to troubleshoot complex service-impacting issues, perform deep packet-level analysis, and drive automation initiatives. The position requires strong expertise in mobile core technologies, IP networking, Linux systems, and advanced troubleshooting methodologies.

You will play a critical role in root cause investigations, platform upgrades, performance optimization, and operational support activities within a high-availability telecommunications environment. • Manage and optimize DPI platforms to ensure efficient traffic classification, policy enforcement, and service visibility.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify service degradation or capacity bottlenecks.
• Perform packet-level troubleshooting using Wireshark, tcpdump, and related diagnostic tools.
• Investigate and resolve complex Packet Core, transport, and application-layer issues.
• Conduct detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical incidents and recurring network faults.
• Collaborate with Packet Core, IP, OSS/BSS, and vendor teams to resolve cross-domain challenges.
• Support software upgrades, patch management, and platform lifecycle activities.
• Analyze traffic patterns and recommend optimization strategies to improve network performance.
• Develop automation scripts and operational tools to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Maintain operational documentation, technical procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Support network audits, capacity planning, and service assurance initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to operational best practices, security standards, and change management processes.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in telecommunications network operations, Packet Core, or DPI environments.
• Strong expertise in Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and traffic management platforms.
• Proven experience supporting 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G Packet Core networks.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking and application-layer protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities using Wireshark, tcpdump, and packet analysis techniques.
• Hands-on Linux administration and system troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with network automation using Python, Bash, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of carrier-grade network troubleshooting methodologies and operational processes.
• Experience performing incident management, service restoration, and root cause analysis activities.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multi-vendor and cross-functional technical teams.

• Experience with Cisco networking technologies.
• Experience with Arista routing and switching platforms.
• Knowledge of EPC and 5G Core cloud-native architectures.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Open Stack, VMware, or Docker environments.
• Familiarity with OSS/BSS integrations and service assurance platforms.

Demonstrate your ability to troubleshoot complex network issues by highlighting specific DPI, Packet Core, and IP networking incidents you resolved, including the tools used, root causes identified, performance improvements achieved, and any automation initiatives that reduced operational workload or improved service quality.
