Aboutthe Opportunity:
The Enterprise Asset Management Director leads the city’s enterprise asset management systems, asset information governance, and SAP EAMS implementation within City Asset Management. The role acts as the business owner for SAP EAMS, overseeing system design, data governance, process integration, reporting, and asset information standards. Working closely with City Operations, Asset Management teams, O&M, Digital, Finance, and Governance functions, it ensures asset data, operational requirements, and AM standards are aligned across the city.
The position establishes a single, trusted source of asset information, enabling effective maintenance, lifecycle planning, asset performance monitoring, renewals planning, and investment decision-making.
- Lead the enterprise asset management systems strategy, governance framework, operating model, and SAP EAMS roadmap across City Asset Management and City Operations.
- Act as the business owner for SAP EAMS, ensuring system design, configuration, workflows, and reporting align with asset management policies, operational requirements, and governance standards.
- Oversee SAP EAMS implementation, including business readiness, data migration, system integration, user acceptance testing, cut-over planning, and go-live support.
- Define and maintain enterprise asset data standards, asset registers, information governance, master data quality controls, and asset classification frameworks.
- Establish and manage asset management workflows, KPIs, dashboards, reporting standards, and performance metrics to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure SAP EAMS supports maintenance planning, inspections, renewals, lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, service quality, and investment planning.
- Lead change management, communications, training, user adoption, and early-life support to ensure effective system utilization across stakeholders.
- Collaborate with City Operations, O&M teams, Asset Class BUs, Digital, Finance, Handover, and service providers to align asset information and operational requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement through data quality monitoring, system enhancements, automation, reporting optimization, and lessons learned from operations and audits.
- Manage consultants, implementation partners, suppliers, budgets, contracts, and performance to ensure sustainable AM system capabilities and value delivery.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Asset Management, Information Systems, Operations Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field;
Master’s degree and relevant professional certifications are preferred. - Up to 15 years of experience in enterprise asset management systems, asset data governance, maintenance management, infrastructure operations, digital transformation, or facilities management, including senior leadership experience.
- Proven expertise in SAP EAM/SAP PM, EAMS, CMMS implementations, migrations, optimization, user adoption, and enterprise asset information management.
