We are seeking an experienced GIS Project Manager to oversee and deliver geospatial initiatives across multiple domains. The role requires managing the full lifecycle of GIS projects, from scoping and planning to execution, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement. The GIS Project Manager will lead multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate with vendors and business stakeholders, and ensure that all deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with quality standards.
The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in GIS technologies and platforms, with a proven ability to design and implement geospatial databases, perform advanced spatial analyses, and integrate GIS solutions with enterprise systems. This role also requires a strategic mindset to align GIS outputs with organizational objectives and support data-driven decision-making.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Civil Engineering, or a related field with strong applications in GIS.
ExperienceMinimum of 10 years of experience managing GIS projects across diverse sectors.
Demonstrated success in leading end-to-end GIS project life cycles, including roadmap design, milestone tracking, risk management, and timely delivery.
Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and engaging with technical experts, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, Arc Map).
Expertise in geodatabases, relational databases (e.g., Oracle), and GIS system integration.
Skilled in developing and maintaining geospatial databases and conducting spatial analyses to support decision-making.
Proficient in project governance, reporting, and ensuring compliance with data integrity and industry standards.
Soft SkillsExcellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to present GIS insights and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a focus on results and stakeholder satisfaction.
