The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organization’s perspective.

To establish and lead enterprise Data Management capabilities across the organization by defining and implementing data quality, data catalog, and master data management practices. The role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, consistency, discoverability, accessibility, and governance of enterprise data assets while supporting business objectives, regulatory requirements, data privacy obligations, and organizational data-driven decision-making initiatives.

• Develop and implement enterprise data management frameworks aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Establish standards, methodologies, and operating models for data management practices.
• Define strategic priorities for data quality, data catalog, and master data management initiatives.
• Promote data management best practices across the organization.
• Data Quality Management
• Establish and maintain data quality standards, controls, and monitoring mechanisms.
• Define data quality metrics and performance indicators to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Drive initiatives to identify and remediate data quality issues across enterprise systems.
• Monitor compliance with data quality requirements and continuous improvement activities.
• Lead the implementation and management of enterprise data catalog capabilities.
• Ensure business and technical metadata are properly captured, maintained, and governed.
• Improve data discoverability, transparency, and accessibility across the organization.
• Promote adoption of data catalog capabilities among business and technical stakeholders.
• Data Governance & Compliance Enablement
• Support the implementation of data governance policies, standards, and controls.
• Ensure data management practices align with regulatory, privacy, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with governance, cybersecurity, and privacy teams to strengthen data controls.
• Support audits and reviews related to enterprise data management practices.
• Data Lifecycle & Stewardship Management
• Establish processes governing the creation, maintenance, usage, retention, and disposal of enterprise data.
• Define data stewardship responsibilities and accountability models across business functions.
• Monitor adherence to data management processes and governance requirements.
• Support ongoing improvement of enterprise data lifecycle management practices.
• Data Analytics Enablement & Business Alignment
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure data assets support operational and strategic objectives.
• Facilitate the availability of trusted data that supports analytics and decision-making activities.
• Identify business requirements related to data accessibility, quality, and management.
• Support initiatives that improve enterprise data utilization and business value realization.
• Data Management Capability Development
• Act as a subject matter expert in Data Management, Data Quality, Data Catalog, and Master Data Management practices.
• Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on data management standards and methodologies.
• Develop awareness programs that promote a data-driven culture across the organization.
• Support continuous improvement and maturity enhancement of enterprise data management capabilities.
• Develop and maintain enterprise data management standards, practices, and control mechanisms.
• Support the implementation of data management initiatives that improve data consistency, accessibility, and reliability across the organization.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to improve the management and utilization of enterprise data assets.
