ROLE PURPOSE
The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organization’s perspective.
The Technology Strategy & Innovation Director is responsible for defining, governing, and driving the execution of the technology strategic objectives, portfolio, and project management practices. The role ensures alignment between business priorities, investment decisions, and execution outcomes through effective strategic planning, portfolio governance, and project management.
In addition to leading Strategy and PMO functions, the Director oversees innovation enablement and architecture governance to support technology transformation, modernization, and sustainable growth.
The role serves as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and ensures that strategic initiatives, programs, and projects deliver measurable business value while maintaining governance, transparency, and accountability across the enterprise.

Key Accountabilities

- Lead the development, review, and execution of the strategic technology plan.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives, programs, and measurable outcomes.
- Establish strategic governance frameworks to monitor execution and benefits realization.
- Develop strategic roadmaps aligned with business priorities and organizational goals.
- Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
- Facilitate annual strategic planning and periodic strategy review cycles.
- Identify strategic risks, dependencies, and opportunities and recommend mitigation actions.
- Establish and lead the Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO).
- Define project, program, and portfolio management standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks.
- Oversee enterprise portfolio planning, prioritization, and investment governance.
- Monitor delivery performance across strategic programs and projects.
- Ensure projects are aligned with organizational strategy, budget, and resource capacity.
- Implement project performance reporting, dashboards, and executive portfolio reviews.
- Drive benefits realization and value management practices across initiatives.
- Promote project management excellence through standardized processes, tools, and capabilities.
- Establish innovation frameworks, processes, and governance mechanisms.
- Identify emerging trends, technologies, and business opportunities.
- Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Manage innovation pipelines, pilot programs, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Support business units in evaluating and scaling innovative solutions.
- Track innovation outcomes and business value realization.
- Provide governance and oversight of enterprise architecture practices.
- Ensure alignment between business strategy, technology investments, and architecture roadmaps.
- Review and govern major technology initiatives for architectural compliance.
- Support technology modernization, cloud adoption, data, AI, and digital transformation programs.
- Collaborate with technology leadership to maintain architecture standards and principles.
- Guide long-term capability planning and technology investment decisions.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Academic and professional qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree (MBA, MSc or equivalent) preferred.
- TOGAF (Preferred)

Years and Nature of Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Strategy, PMO, Tech Architecture, Digital Transformation Management, Technology Management, or related leadership roles.
- 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, portfolios, programs, or PMOs.
