Position Summary

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Data Engineer specializing in Industrial and Refinery Data to support large-scale Industrial AI, Data Analytics, and Digital Transformation initiatives in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining industrial data platforms and refinery data pipelines that enable advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven business solutions.

As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and managing the data infrastructure that powers Industrial AI and analytics solutions across Oil & Gas and refinery operations. You will work closely with data scientists, AI engineers, OT/IT teams, process engineers, and business stakeholders to integrate, process, govern, and deliver high-quality industrial data for enterprise use.
The role requires expertise in modern data engineering practices, ETL/ELT pipeline development, industrial data historians, API integrations, data modeling, and data governance. The successful candidate will support mission-critical operational data environments while contributing to digitalization and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

• Design, develop, and optimize industrial data platforms and refinery data pipelines.
• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT workflows for processing operational and business data.
• Develop data ingestion frameworks integrating industrial historians, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Design and implement robust data models supporting analytics and machine learning initiatives.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL and Python-based data processing solutions.
• Integrate refinery, process, operational, and enterprise datasets into centralized platforms.
• Implement data governance, security, quality, and compliance standards.
• Support Industrial AI and advanced analytics projects through reliable data delivery.
• Collaborate with AI/ML Engineers, Solution Architects, Process SMEs, and OT/IT teams.
• Monitor data pipeline performance and resolve data quality or integration issues.
• Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Support data migration, transformation, and platform modernization initiatives.
• Ensure data availability, scalability, reliability, and security across environments.
• Participate in digital transformation and Industrial AI programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Data Pipeline development and ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Advanced SQL development and optimization skills.
• Strong Python programming experience.
• Experience with Data Modeling and data architecture principles.
• Hands‑on experience working with Industrial Historians and industrial data sources.
• Experience integrating data through APIs and enterprise interfaces.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security practices.
• Experience supporting large‑scale enterprise or industrial data platforms.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
