Position Summary

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced OT/AIoT Engineer specializing in Industrial Connectivity to support Industrial AI, Operational Technology (OT), and digital transformation initiatives in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, integrating, securing, and optimizing connectivity between industrial operational technology environments and enterprise IT platforms while enabling real-time data exchange for advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions.

Job Description

As an OT/AIoT Engineer, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between industrial operations and enterprise technology systems. You will be responsible for integrating process control systems, industrial historians, SCADA platforms, and enterprise applications to support Industry 4.0, Industrial AI, and smart manufacturing initiatives.

The role requires deep expertise in industrial networking, OT cybersecurity, industrial protocols, edge connectivity, process control systems, and operational data platforms. You will collaborate with process engineers, OT specialists, data engineers, AI teams, cybersecurity professionals, and business stakeholders to build secure, scalable, and reliable industrial connectivity solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement secure connectivity solutions between OT and IT environments.
  • Integrate DCS, PLC, SCADA, OPC-UA, and Industrial Historian platforms with enterprise applications.
  • Develop and maintain OT network architectures supporting industrial operations.
  • Implement industrial communication protocols and secure data exchange mechanisms.
  • Enable real-time operational data collection, processing, and integration.
  • Design and manage secure edge connectivity solutions for industrial assets.
  • Configure and optimize network segmentation, DMZ architectures, firewall policies, and access controls.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, latency, data quality, and operational performance issues.
  • Support Industrial AI and advanced analytics initiatives through reliable data integration frameworks.
  • Collaborate with process control, automation, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.
  • Ensure compliance with OT security, governance, and operational standards.
  • Develop architecture documentation, integration standards, and technical procedures.
  • Support system upgrades, migrations, testing, and operational readiness activities.
  • Monitor and optimize OT network performance, availability, and resilience.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Networking, Industrial Automation, or Industrial Connectivity environments.
  • Strong experience with DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems.
  • Hands-on experience integrating OPC-UA platforms and Industrial Historians.
  • Strong knowledge of OT Network Architecture and Industrial Communication Protocols.
  • Experience implementing industrial cybersecurity controls and best practices.
  • Expertise in secure edge connectivity and real-time data exchange solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of network segmentation, DMZ design, firewalls, and access control mechanisms.
  • Experience troubleshooting connectivity, latency, and industrial data quality issues.
  • Strong understanding of Process Control Systems and Industrial Automation environments.
