Where you can make a difference. Where no two days arethe same.
At Capgemini Engineering, we are shaping the future of mission-critical connectivity across the globe. Our Connectivity & Network Engineering teams are at the heart of next-generation telecom transformation, delivering resilient, secure, and scalable core network platforms for some of the most demanding environments in the world. In Al-Khobar, we are growing our team of senior technical leaders who can own architecture decisions, drive multi-vendor integration, and lead high-performing engineering teams.
If you are a seasoned core network architect who thrives at the intersection of technical depth and strategic leadership, this is the opportunity for you.
We are looking for an exceptional Lead Core Network Architect to own the architecture and technical leadership of mobile core networks for private mission-critical connectivity platforms. You will define end-to-end core architecture strategies, lead complex multi-vendor integrations, and serve as the principal technical authority across EPC, 5G Core, and IMS domains - ensuring every solution is resilient, scalable, and built to the highest standards of carrier-grade reliability.
In this role you will play a key role in:
- Architecting and owning end-to-end mobile core network solutions across EPC, 5G Core, and IMS domains, including subscriber management, policy and charging frameworks, and gateway functions, ensuring carrier-grade resilience and scalability for mission-critical private network environments
- Defining comprehensive core network architecture strategies including capacity planning, redundancy models, and geo-resilience designs, translating complex SLA requirements into robust, future-proof technical solutions that meet the highest standards of availability and performance
- Leading multi-vendor integration across RAN, transport, OSS, MCX, and security domains, managing technical interdependencies and ensuring seamless end-to-end interoperability across the full network stack in large-scale deployment programs
- Producing high-quality High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD) documentation, operational runbooks, and technical reference architectures, ensuring that all solutions are thoroughly documented and ready for operational handover
- Driving vendor technical and relationship management, acting as the primary technical interface with key technology partners, evaluating vendor capabilities, influencing roadmaps, and ensuring alignment with program objectives and customer requirements
- Leading customer engagement activities at a senior technical level, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders, presenting architectural recommendations with clarity and confidence, and translating complex technical concepts into business-aligned outcomes
- Managing and mentoring the core network engineering team, providing technical guidance, fostering a culture of engineering excellence, and developing the next generation of core network talent within the organization
- Supporting deployment, performance optimization, and acceptance activities, providing hands-on technical leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure every solution meets design intent, performance benchmarks, and operational readiness criteria
