Position Summary

SIS Global is seeking an experienced, highly technical, and accomplished SDN/SDS Infrastructure Engineer with mandatory previous Ericsson experience to join our client delivery team on a full-time, onsite basis in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this specialized network infrastructure and software-defined storage role, you will spearhead designing, deploying, and maintaining Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Software-Defined Storage (SDS) environments, supporting advanced carrier-grade data centers and telecommunications infrastructure.

You will work closely with cross-functional network architects, systems engineers, and telecom operators to deliver high-availability, scalable infrastructure. Ideal candidates bring a robust academic degree in computer science or engineering, deep practical mastery of Cisco ACI, VMware NSX-T, Ceph, Power Flex, and immediate availability for onsite deployment in Riyadh.

As an SDN/SDS Infrastructure Engineer at SIS Global in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, you will take full ownership of architecting, configuring, and supporting mission-critical software-defined networking and storage fabrics. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass managing SDN platforms (such as Cisco ACI, VMware NSX-T, or Open Daylight), configuring enterprise LAN/WAN routing and switching, firewalls, and load balancers, and administering SDS technologies (such as Ceph, Power Flex, or ScaleIO).

You will collaborate with telecom engineering squads to troubleshoot complex latency issues, optimize storage throughput, and ensure strict adherence to high-availability and security baselines. Working in a premier onsite environment in Riyadh requiring previous Ericsson experience, you will drive modern data center transformation.

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Software-Defined Networking (SDN) fabrics utilizing Cisco ACI, VMware NSX-T, or Open Daylight [cite: .jpg].
• Administer and scale Software-Defined Storage (SDS) environments including Ceph, Power Flex, and ScaleIO [cite: .jpg].
• Manage enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, enterprise firewalls, security policies, and application load balancers [cite: .jpg].
• Ensure seamless integration between virtualized network functions, storage clusters, and telecom core platforms (Ericsson experience mandatory) [cite: .jpg, .jpg].
• Monitor network and storage performance, analyze telemetry metrics, and execute proactive capacity planning.
• Troubleshoot complex data center connectivity faults, packet loss, storage input/output bottlenecks, and failover anomalies.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional IT infrastructure teams, cloud architects, and client stakeholders in Riyadh [cite: .jpg].
• Ensure uncompromising adherence to data center security baselines, disaster recovery protocols, and compliance standards.
• Maintain comprehensive infrastructure architecture diagrams, network runbooks, and configuration change logs.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency incident escalation and high-priority infrastructure restoration.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in enterprise data center networking, virtualization, and storage engineering.
• Mandatory previous professional experience working with Ericsson telecommunications platforms [cite: .jpg, .jpg].
• Strong hands-on expertise in SDN technologies such as Cisco ACI, VMware NSX-T, or Open Daylight [cite: .jpg].
