Position Summary:
Taqniyat is seeking an experienced, highly technical, and accomplished Network & Data Center Engineer with a strong background in enterprise networking and data center infrastructure to join our core technology team on a full-time, permanent basis in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (exclusively open to candidates currently residing in Riyadh). In this specialized network and data center role, you will spearhead designing, deploying, securing, and scaling high-availability data center fabrics, enterprise routing and switching environments, and cloud connectivity solutions.
You will work closely with enterprise architects, cloud engineers, and technical operations squads to ensure robust infrastructure availability, low latency, and zero-downtime reliability. Ideal candidates bring a robust academic degree in computer science or electrical engineering, deep practical mastery of data center switching and routing protocols, and immediate availability for deployment in Riyadh.
Job Description:
As a Network & Data Center Engineer at Taqniyat in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, you will take full ownership of core network architecture, data center interconnects, server virtualization connectivity, and infrastructure hardening. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass configuring and troubleshooting enterprise routers, multilayer switches, data center switching platforms, and next-generation firewalls, managing BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VXLAN routing architectures, and monitoring data center environmental and performance telemetry.
You will participate in architecture reviews, execute routine maintenance windows, manage vendor escalations, and enforce rigorous security baselines. Working in a fast-paced enterprise technology environment in Riyadh, you will drive network resilience and digital infrastructure success.
- Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise data center networks, core routing, and advanced switching architectures.
- Administer high-availability data center switching platforms, chassis-based switches, and top-of-rack (ToR) switch clusters.
- Configure and optimize dynamic routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, and VXLAN overlays.
- Manage enterprise firewall policies, virtual private networks (VPNs), load balancers, and network security hardening.
- Monitor data center network performance, bandwidth utilization, latency metrics, and environmental telemetry continuously.
- Execute complex infrastructure upgrades, network expansions, switch migrations, and scheduled maintenance windows.
- Troubleshoot complex L2/L3 network faults, routing loops, packet loss, and connectivity outages with rapid root-cause remediation.
- Collaborate proactively with systems administrators, cloud engineers, and security teams on multi-tenant architecture rollouts.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, network topology diagrams, IP address management (IPAM) records, and runbooks.
- Ensure strict adherence to enterprise security frameworks, industry compliance standards, and operational best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 4+ years of professional hands-on working experience in enterprise network engineering and data center administration.
- Deep technical expertise in configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls from major vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei).
- Strong practical proficiency in advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN) and data center fabric architectures.
