Position Description
The Senior HRSD Solution Architect is a senior technology leadership role responsible for defining, designing, and governing end-to-end Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) solutions across the organization. The role will lead the architecture and technical direction of HRSD platforms, ensuring that solutions effectively support HR business objectives while meeting enterprise standards for scalability, security, performance, integration, and maintainability.
The Senior HRSD Solution Architect will work closely with HR leadership, HR process owners, Business Analysts, Enterprise Architects, Technical Leads, Developers, Integration Teams, Security Teams, Data Teams, and external implementation partners to transform business requirements into sustainable technology solutions.
The role will be accountable for establishing the target HRSD architecture
, defining solution patterns, evaluating technology options, designing integrations with enterprise HR and corporate systems, and ensuring that implementations leverage standard platform capabilities wherever possible. The architect will provide technical governance throughout the solution lifecycle, from initial discovery and requirements through design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
The position requires a strong combination of HR domain knowledge, Service Now HRSD expertise, solution architecture, integration architecture, security, and technical leadership
. The successful candidate will be expected to provide strategic guidance while also being sufficiently hands-on to challenge technical designs, resolve complex architectural issues, and guide delivery teams toward high-quality solutions.
The primary purpose of this role is to design and govern secure, scalable, integrated, and user-centric HRSD solutions that modernize HR service delivery, improve employee experience, increase operational efficiency, and support the organization's long-term HR technology strategy.
Scope of the RoleThe Senior HRSD Solution Architect will:
- Own the end-to-end technical architecture for HRSD initiatives and major enhancements.
- Define the current-state, target-state, and transition architecture for HR service delivery.
- Ensure alignment between HR business strategy, HR processes, enterprise architecture, and technology solutions.
- Lead architecture decisions for Service Now HRSD and related HR technology platforms.
- Define integration strategies between HRSD, HRIS, payroll, identity management, enterprise applications, and third-party systems.
- Establish technical standards, reusable architecture patterns, and governance principles.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, highly available, upgradeable, and aligned with enterprise technology standards.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to project and delivery teams.
- Review and approve solution designs, integrations, configurations, and technical implementations.
- Identify opportunities for automation, self-service, AI, and digital transformation within HR service delivery.
- Ensure that HRSD solutions minimize unnecessary customization and maximize the use of standard platform capabilities.
- Support strategic technology planning, platform roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives.
