We are seeking a skilled and motivated Database Administrator (DBA) with 3-5 years of hands‑on experience managing and supporting enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database administration, monitoring, maintenance, performance optimization, backup and recovery, security management, high availability, disaster recovery, and database support activities.
The candidate should possess practical experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and/or MySQL in production environments and demonstrate the ability to ensure database performance, availability, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities- Perform database administration, monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain database systems.
- Manage database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery processes.
- Monitor database performance, capacity, availability and overall health.
- Perform SQL query optimization and database performance tuning.
- Manage database security, users, roles, permissions and access controls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database‑related incidents and performance issues.
- Support database migrations, upgrades, patching and maintenance activities.
- Ensure data integrity, reliability and availability.
- Maintain database documentation, procedures and configurations.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure and application teams on database‑related initiatives.
- Participate in failover testing, disaster recovery testing and maintenance activities.
- Support production, development and testing database environments.
- 3-5 years of hands‑on Database Administration experience.
- Strong experience with one or more of the following:
- PostgreSQL
- Oracle Database
- Microsoft SQL Server
- MySQL
- Database Installation, Configuration and Administration.
- Database Backup and Recovery.
- Database Replication.
- High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR).
- SQL Query Optimization.
- Database Performance Tuning.
- Database Monitoring and Health Checks.
- Database Troubleshooting and Incident Resolution.
- Database Security Administration.
- User, Role, Permission and Access Management.
- Database Migration and Upgrade Activities.
- Patch Management and Maintenance.
- Experience supporting Production Database Environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Oracle RAC Administration.
- Oracle Data Guard.
- SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.
- SQL Server Failover Clustering.
- PostgreSQL Streaming Replication.
- PostgreSQL Patroni / PgPool.
- MySQL Replication.
- Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Grafana, Zabbix, Nagios or similar monitoring tools.
- Linux Administration.
- Shell Scripting.
- Power Shell Scripting.
- Python Scripting.
- Azure, AWS, OCI or GCP Database Services.
- Dev Ops and Automation Experience.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- ITIL Knowledge.
- Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL Certifications.
