ADMIN (Sec)-R/DATABASE MANAGEMENT (Dpt)-R | External Job

Leads the developing and overseeing the implementation of the long-term vision of the Database Management Department and for leading all activities and staff within this Department. Responsible for database maintenance, capacity planning and monitoring.

• Remains informed of new IT developments and evolving business requirements, and recommend alternatives to database operations.
• Provides vendor management support to IT Administration,and technical guidance on Request for Proposal RFPs, assisting with vendor selection and mana in Service-Level Agreement (SLAs)
• Defines, implements and manages database security measures and policies across all databases.
• Sets database standards and guidelines that apply to both business and clinical databases.
• Maintains relationships with application groups to ensureapplication data needs are met.
• Plans, installs, configures and test databaseconfigurations and provide troubleshooting and technical support services tosupport these databases.
• Identifies database capacity sizing needs and requirements and manages database performance and tuning.
• Coordinates schedules, implements and tests databasetuning, reorganization, backup and restoration activities.
• Identifies opportunities to improve database operations through automation, standardization, and the adoption of appropriate technologies and practices.
• Participates in the development and review of technical policies, procedures, and service-level requirements related to database management.
• Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to assigned staff and promotes effective collaboration, accountability, knowledge sharing,and continuous improvement.
• Follows all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.
• Participates in self and others' education, training and development, as applicable.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Health informatics or other related discipline is required.

• Seven (7) years with Masters, or eight (8) years with Bachelor’s Degree is required
