Reporting to the Country Manager you will be responsible for handling a broad portfolio of claims, from investigation to settlement, ensuring company standards are met in relation to all technical and operational policies and procedures.
You will support the Country Manager in developing and strengthening the technical capabilities of the Saudi team through mentoring, coaching and structured knowledge transfer, ensuring the sustainable development of local expertise in line with McLarens’ strategic objectives.
The position is based in Riyadh and is open to expatriate applicants.
Key AccountabilitiesHandle, to a high standard, your own workload of cases derived from the business attracted into McLarens, whether by your own marketing efforts or those of others.
The scope includes:
- Investigating, negotiating and agreeing settlement of claims in a professional manner
- Liaising with insured, insurers and brokers to achieve professional and timely conclusion of claims
- Completing on site investigations and damage surveys for claims
- Producing reports in compliance with professional standards and internal guidelines in accordance with agreed timescales
- Actively contribute towards McLarens’ business development programme.
- Network, identify and facilitate opportunities for business growth
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to adjusters and support staff
- Contribute to the continuous development of internal claims handling procedures, templates and technical resources
- Undertaking projects and other ad hoc work as required
At all times promote the excellent image of McLarens and to maximise Company and Group profitability.
Experience and QualificationsSuccessful candidates must be CILA/CII qualified or have significant progress towards the CILA/CII Qualification with other industry qualifications being a distinct advantage.
They will have proven experience in the loss adjusting sector and demonstrable focus on quality, communication, technical and organizational skills. Capability in negotiation, decision making and problem-solving, coupled with strong stakeholder management. An ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally is imperative. A proven, positive reputation in the Broker and Insurer market would also be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be expected to be competent in handling Property, Construction and Engineering losses with experience in other lines of business being considered a plus.
Due to the geographic coverage of the role travel will be required.
