The Supply Chain Planning Specialist is responsible for supporting the efficiency and continuity of supply chain operations by developing and maintaining operational plans, analyzing demand, balancing supply and demand, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and products while optimizing cost, quality, and service levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor supply, production, and distribution plans in alignment with business requirements.
  • Analyze demand patterns, sales forecasts, and historical data to generate accurate planning recommendations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend appropriate actions to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess and stockouts.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Warehousing, Logistics, Sales, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Prepare planning reports, analyze performance gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Track and report Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, material availability, and service levels.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, operational efficiency, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Support cost optimization initiatives while maintaining service quality and operational continuity.
  • Utilize ERP systems and planning tools to manage planning activities and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and supply chain best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management,
  • Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM, APICS CSCP, or equivalent are preferred.

Experience

  • 1–5 years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, material planning, production planning, or logistics planning.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business intelligence/reporting tools.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain planning principles, demand forecasting, inventory management, procurement, and logistics.
  • Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluency in Arabic; proficiency in English is preferred.
