Logistics Specialist, Saudi Arabia, Riyadh (m/f/*)
As a Logistics Specialist (m/f/*) you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleHere, you will make an impact by:
- Manage compliant, efficient, and cost-effective import activities in Saudi Arabia in line with local regulations and internal processes.
- Coordinate inbound transportation from port/airport to warehouse or customer location to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor shipment schedules, transit milestones, and handoffs to maintain end-to-end visibility and on-time performance.
- Work with approved transport providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, 3PLs, and certification bodies to ensure compliant execution.
- Prepare, review, and submit accurate import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, BOE, permits, Saber certificates, and related records.
- Manage customs clearance activities to minimize delays, penalties, shipment rejections, customs holds, and demurrage costs.
- Proactively communicate shipment status, delays, risks, and transportation issues to internal and external stakeholders.
- Resolve logistics challenges such as port congestion, delivery delays, damaged cargo, incomplete documentation, and warehouse readiness issues.
- Track transporter and logistics performance using metrics such as on-time delivery, damage rate, turnaround time, and cost efficiency.
- Review and approve freight invoices, maintain logistics reports, and support continuous improvement of import and transportation processes.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:
- Saudi national required.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s preferred. - Experience in import, customs clearance, logistics, or supply chain.
- Knowledge of Saudi customs regulations and import documentation.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- English and Arabic proficiency.
- Driving license.
Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience with Saber certification.
- Familiarity with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PLs.
- Knowledge of trade compliance, ERP/logistics systems, and freight invoice review.
- Location: Saudi Arabia, Riyadh 3M Office (Cordoba district)
- Work location: This role follows 5 days on-site working model.
- Travel expectations: May include up to 5% of domestic/international
- Relocation: Not authorized
- Working pattern: Full-time
