About the Role

The role ensures that all materials are properly received, identified, recorded, stored, preserved, and issued in accordance with approved purchase orders, material specifications, project requirements, company procedures, and health, safety, and environmental requirements. The Store Manager coordinates closely with Procurement, Logistics, Construction, Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Project Controls, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management to ensure timely availability and accurate control of materials throughout project execution.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise all store, warehouse, and material control activities.
  • Establish and maintain effective systems for material receiving, storage, preservation, issuing, transfer, and dispatch.
  • Receive materials, equipment, spare parts, tools, and consumables delivered to the project/site.
  • Verify received materials against Purchase Orders (POs), Delivery Notes, Material Requisition s, packing lists, and approved material specifications.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC and relevant technical teams for inspection and acceptance of incoming materials.
  • Ensure that materials are properly identified, labeled, coded, and recorded upon receipt.
  • Check quantities, descriptions, specifications, and physical condition of received materials.
  • Report shortages, damages, discrepancies, or incorrect deliveries to Procurement, Logistics, and Project Management.
  • Prepare and maintain Goods Received Notes (GRNs), Material Receiving Reports (MRRs), and other required documentation.
  • Ensure proper storage and preservation of materials according to manufacturer and project requirements.
  • Implement appropriate storage conditions for mechanical, electrical, civil, MEP, consumable, hazardous, and sensitive materials.
  • Maintain proper segregation of approved, rejected, damaged, quarantined, and obsolete materials.
  • Ensure materials are stored in a safe, organized, and easily accessible manner.
  • Monitor material preservation requirements and conduct periodic inspections of stored materials.
  • Implement FIFO/FEFO principles where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and stock registers.
  • Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and identify potential shortages or excess inventory.
  • Coordinate with Procurement and Project teams to ensure timely availability of required materials.
  • Issue materials only against approved Material Requisition s, Store Issue Vouchers (SIVs), Material Issue Requests, or authorized documentation.
  • Maintain complete records of material issues, returns, transfers, and consumption.
  • Monitor material consumption against project requirements and approved quantities.
  • Track materials issued to different work fronts, departments, subcontractors, and project locations.
  • Process material returns and ensure returned materials are properly inspected, identified, and recorded.
  • Coordinate inter-store and inter-project material transfers as required.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and cycle counts.
  • Coordinate and participate in periodic and annual inventory reconciliation.
  • Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, damages, and losses.
  • Maintain accurate reconciliation between physical stock and ERP/system inventory records.
  • Monitor slow-moving, excess, surplus, obsolete, and damaged materials.
  • Prepare reports for management regarding inventory status, material consumption, shortages, excess stock, and aging materials.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, and HSE teams regarding material requirements and issues.
  • Ensure materials required for construction activities are available according to the project schedule and look‑ahead requirements.
  • Support material planning and forecasting activities.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and follow up on pending or critical materials.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and logistics teams regarding material deliveries.
  • Ensure proper documentation is maintained for all incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Maintain Material Receiving Reports, Stock Reports, Material Issue Vouchers, Transfer Notes, Return Notes, and Inventory Reports.
