Procurement Officer​/Specialist

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field.
• Certifications such as CIPS, CPSM Procurement or Supply Chain Certifications or any equivalent professional certifications

• 2–6 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain management, contract administration, or related fields.
• Experience supporting procurement activities, supplier management, sourcing exercises, and contract administration processes.
• Experience working with procurement systems, procurement reporting, and supplier performance management activities.
• Experience supporting procurement governance and compliance activities is preferred.

Technical

Strong understanding of procurement, sourcing, supplier management, and contract administration practices.

Knowledge of procurement policies, governance requirements, and procurement lifecycle processes.

Strong analytical and commercial evaluation skills to assess procurement options and supplier proposals.

Ability to manage multiple procurement activities, sourcing processes, and contract administration tasks while meeting deadlines.

• Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Facilitate knowledge transfer to colleagues, relating to the different job activities, and ensure transfer of know-how and expertise.

• Support the execution of procurement activities, including sourcing, tendering, supplier evaluation, quotation analysis, and procurement administration in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
• Coordinate procurement requests with internal stakeholders to ensure business requirements are clearly defined and procurement activities are completed in a timely manner.
• Support supplier selection, bid evaluations, and commercial assessments to ensure value for money and alignment with organizational requirements.
• Maintain procurement records, sourcing documentation, and procurement-related information in accordance with governance requirements.
• Support the preparation, administration, and monitoring of contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services and resolution of procurement-related issues.
• Monitor supplier performance and service delivery against agreed requirements and contractual obligations.
• Support supplier relationship management activities and contribute to supplier performance improvement initiatives.

• Ensure procurement activities comply with AGFUND policies, delegated authorities, procurement procedures, and governance requirements.
• Support procurement reporting activities, including spend analysis, procurement tracking, supplier reporting, and operational performance monitoring.
• Assist in identifying procurement risks, process improvement opportunities, and cost optimization initiatives.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes, controls, and service delivery practices.
