The Purchase Runner is responsible for sourcing, collecting, and delivering materials, products, samples, and urgent procurement requirements across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The role supports the Procurement team by identifying suitable suppliers, obtaining product information, coordinating local purchases, and ensuring timely delivery of purchased items to support projects and operational activities.

The Purchase Runner acts as a key link between suppliers / vendors, and project teams while maintaining cost efficiency, reliability, and compliance with company procurement procedures.

• Source materials, products, consumables, and samples from local markets and suppliers across KSA.
• Visit suppliers, manufacturers, and trading centres to identify suitable products and alternative solutions.
• Verify product quality, quantity, specifications, availability, and supplier reliability.
• Obtain quotations, technical specifications, samples, catalogues, and supplier information.
• Support the procurement team in identifying new suppliers and sourcing opportunities.
• Assist in negotiating prices and delivery terms within approved limits.

• Collect purchased materials from suppliers and coordinate delivery to warehouses, offices, or project sites.
• Ensure purchased goods match approved specifications and quantities before acceptance.
• Support urgent procurement requests and expedite deliveries when required.
• Coordinate transportation and ensure safe handling of purchased items.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Monitor supplier responsiveness and report issues relating to pricing, quality, delivery, or service.
• Communicate market intelligence and sourcing opportunities to the procurement team.

• Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier visits, quotations, and deliveries.
• Manage petty cash, and expense documentation as assigned.
• Submit receipts, invoices, and supporting documents promptly for reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

• Complete assigned sourcing and purchasing activities within agreed timelines.
• Support achievement of procurement cost savings and operational efficiency targets.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement and sourcing processes.
• Provide regular updates regarding sourcing progress and market availability.

• Perform any additional duties reasonably assigned by management.
• Support business operations during peak workload periods, weekends, and public holidays.
• Any other task, as reasonably requested, by Electra

• You will correctly use machinery, appliances, tools,transport,and all equipment issued/used by the company.
• You will correctly use personal protective equipment, as necessary to perform your role.
• You will not remove any safety devices for any machinery or installations.
• You will perform all tasks set forth by safety and environmental regulations and thus cooperate with Electra to ensure a working environment and condition that do not pose any risks in terms of health, safety and environment to others.
• Reduce and monitor source consumption as contribution to reducing environmental aspects and impacts.
