Procurement Specialist - Food Industry

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day procurement and purchasing activities
• Source and evaluate suppliers with a strong focus on food products and related supplies
• Compare prices and identify cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality
• Negotiate prices payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid stock shortages
• Coordinate closely with warehouse and operations teams regarding stock requirements
• Prepare and follow up on purchase orders and supplier deliveries
• Maintain accurate procurement and inventory records
• Use Odoo ERP for purchasing inventory tracking and reporting
• Identify opportunities to reduce purchasing costs and improve procurement efficiency

• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.
• Hands-on experience in food procurement within food manufacturing, food distribution, FMCG, catering, or restaurant environments.
• Experience monitoring inventory levels and managing replenishment to support product availability.
• Experience in supplier sourcing, price benchmarking, and direct supplier negotiation.
• Proven ability to help establish or develop a procurement function and build purchasing processes from scratch.
• Experience transitioning procurement operations from manual processes to an ERP or system-based workflow.
• Eligibility to work in Saudi Arabia.
• Experience using Odoo is a plus.
