Supply Planning Lead

The Supply Planning Lead is responsible for supervising supply planning services and overseeing the activities of the supply planning unit to deliver effective and efficient end-to-end services to the group.

• Oversee and manage the flow of shipments from origin to destination, covering suppliers, freight forwarding, clearing agents, insurance companies, transportation companies, and warehouses.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of all transactions by controlling them according to stated procedures.
• Drive changes and continuous improvements in the supply planning department by identifying challenges and opportunities for enhancement.
• Analyze and resolve logistical issues, elevate cases promptly when necessary, conduct feasibility studies, and prepare supply chain simulations for new brands or products to facilitate business development.
• Benchmark and evaluate rates among different logistics providers, reduce costs where possible by managing allocated budgets and expenditures, report variances, and set budgets to ensure effective cost management.
• Monitor and assess the logistics network constantly, ensuring optimal service to the business and delivering the desired service level to internal and external customers.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with stakeholders and customers, aligning with departmental Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to foster business improvement and achieve objectives.
• Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate the team to ensure that the department has the necessary skill base, and that staff are optimally motivated and enabled to maximize their potential and contribution to the company.

• Fluency in English.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management is a plus.
• Six to eight years of experience in a similar role.
• Three years of experience in a managerial role.
