The Maintenance Planner leads, governs, and improves the maintenance planning process at the site. This role establishes routine and extraordinary maintenance plans for all site assets, ensuring that maintenance activities are executed on time and in full. The primary objective is to maintain healthy assets, enabling safe operations, food safety, quality, compliance, and high-performance levels. The Planner also optimises maintenance plans, integrates Maintenance Excellence Packages, leverages digital solutions, and ensures competitive lifecycle costs.
A key responsibility is to maintain assets of a modern state, incorporating the latest technologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Establish Routine and Extraordinary Maintenance Plan
Develop comprehensive maintenance plans for all assets to ensure health and reliability while minimising downtime. Schedule routine and extraordinary maintenance activities as per plan, integrate OEMs maintenance plans into AMM. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align plans with business objectives.
- Lead and Govern Maintenance Planning Process
Establish and govern the standard routine, including task prioritisation, maintenance shutdown scheduling, and work order execution review to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure Timely and Accurate Execution of Maintenance Activities
Monitor and track execution to ensure adherence to established plans, collaborate with teams to address deviations, and implement efficiency measures.
- Drive Continuous Improvement in Maintenance
Review maintenance routines regularly with the team and optimise plans in AMM to improve quality and effectiveness.
- Integration of Maintenance Excellence Packages
Coordinate and facilitate deployment of MEPs within the asset base, establish governance, confirm performance and cost alignment, and share learnings.
- Leverage Digital to Optimise Maintenance
Develop a plan to integrate digital solutions, including predictive maintenance, real‑time reporting, AMM Mobile, and other relevant tools to enhance reliability and optimise routines.
- Cost Optimisation
Analyse lifecycle costs, identify savings while maintaining asset health, collaborate with finance and procurement to manage budgets for routine and extraordinary maintenance and parts inventories.
- Support Preparation for Start‑Up of New Lines
Coordinate preparation and implementation of maintenance plans for CAPEX and new lines, ensuring resources, budgets and routines are in place from the start.
- Experience in a maintenance area, preferably in Plant Operations & Maintenance (2–3 years)
- Experience working in Asset Maintenance Management (minimum 2 years)
- Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, reliability‑centred maintenance, and asset management.
- Proficiency in using computerised maintenance management systems (SAP) and other relevant software.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Insight on TPM PM Pillar methodology & Governance.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a reputed college/university.
