Facilities Management Specialist - Sporting Event

Position Facilities Management Specialist Location Riyadh Saudi Arabia Candidates based in Riyadh will only be considered Contract Duration October 2026 January 2027

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Facilities Management Specialist to support facilities and venue operations for a major football event in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management of facilities including maintenance cleaning contractor coordination workplace services and the resolution of operational facility issues The role will work closely with internal teams service providers contractors and venue stakeholders to ensure facilities remain operational and meet the required standards throughout the event period

• Manage day-to-day facilities management activities across assigned workplaces and or event venues
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities and ensure timely resolution of facility-related issues
• Oversee cleaning and general facility services to ensure agreed service levels are maintained
• Coordinate and monitor facilities management contractors and service providers
• Follow up on work orders maintenance requests defects and outstanding issues through to completion
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and identify maintenance cleanliness and operational requirements
• Ensure facilities are ready and maintained to support daily operations and event requirements
• Liaise with venue teams contractors suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues
• Monitor contractor performance and elevate service delivery issues where required
• Maintain accurate records reports schedules and documentation related to facilities operations
• Support the implementation of facilities management procedures standards and operational requirements
• Assist with the preparation and readiness of facilities prior to and during the event
• Respond effectively to urgent facilities-related issues and coordinate appropriate corrective actions
• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with applicable health safety security and operational requirements

• Bachelor s degree or diploma in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services, Property Management, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in facilities management or a related field.
• Experience managing facilities services, maintenance, cleaning, and contractors.
• Strong experience in one or more of the following environments:
  Facilities Management companies Hotels and hospitality Shopping malls Airports Stadiums and sports venues Large-scale or mega projects Experience working in high-volume, complex, or operationally critical environments.
• Strong contractor and stakeholder management skills.
• Good understanding of facilities operations, maintenance, and service delivery.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to changing operational requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard facilities management systems/tools.

• Experience supporting major sporting events, large-scale events, stadium operations, hospitality, or mega projects.
• Previous experience working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC is advantageous.
• Knowledge of event venue facilities and operational readiness is an advantage.
