Reporting to the Director – Claims & Technical Accounting, you will be an integral member of the Claims & Technical Accounting organization within Saudi Re. You will contribute directly to shaping the company’s claims discipline, reinsurance accounting, supporting internal and external stakeholders, and enhancing operational excellence as Saudi Re continues to grow regionally and globally.
PositionClaims & Technical Accounts Manager
Your Role- Assist the Director in managing the day-to-day operations of Claims, TA, Retro Accounting, and Credit Control departments.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to ensure accurate processing and timely reporting.
- Provide second-level review of claims files, technical accounts, reconciliations, and reports.
- Support claims managers in handling complex or disputed claims.
- Review claims payments, authorizations, and reserves within delegated authority.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Review retro premium calculations, recoveries, and settlements.
- Escalate anomalies or issues to the Director.
- Prepare and review departmental reports for management and regulatory reporting.
- Support internal and external audit processes and provide documentation as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, controls, and reinsurance regulations.
- Maintain, monitor, and update the departmental Risk Register, ensuring timely identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational and compliance risks.
- Assist with system upgrades, testing, integration, and data validation.
- Periodically review, update, and enhance departmental policies, procedures, and process documentation to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, best practices, and internal control frameworks.
- Supervise and coach team leads/managers across the department.
- Act as deputy for the Director during absences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in reinsurance claims, technical accounts, or related functions.
- Strong understanding of reinsurance accounting claims processes, and retrocession.
- Professional certifications (CII, ACCA, etc.) are an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Team‑oriented with leadership capability and customer‑service focus.
- Problem‐solving abilities with sound judgment and decision‑making skills.
