We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will possess at least 10 years of experience in projects and contracting, demonstrating a robust understanding of safety management within the construction and industrial sectors. This role is vital for overseeing and implementing safety protocols across various projects, ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations.
The Safety Manager will proactively identify potential hazards and implement effective solutions to mitigate risks. Collaboration with project managers, site supervisors, and employees is essential to foster a culture of safety and health within the organization. The successful candidate will have a strong background in safety management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead training programs effectively.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.Lead safety training programs for employees, ensuring they understand safety protocols and best practices.Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.Collaborate with project teams to assess safety risks and implement safety plans for new projects.Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.Communicate effectively with management and employees regarding safety issues and initiatives.Stay updated on industry trends and changes in legislation related to workplace safety.Provide guidance and support to employees on safety-related matters and promote a culture of safety awareness.Preferred Candidate
Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in a construction or industrial environment, with at least 10 years in projects and contracting.In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Certifications in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are preferred.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.Detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to safety and quality.Proficient in using safety management software and tools.Skills
