• Proven manager with experience managing teams of high performers.
• Ability to refine and develop processes to optimize operational excellence in every area of your role.
• Drive performance levels to achieve the pace at which we build and operate Data Centers in India for Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (“ADSIPL”).
• Previous experience in Data Centers, either building or managing (or both) along with exposure to developing great relationships with both internal teams and external vendors.

As a Data Center Manager in ADSIPL, you will get to manage the world’s largest Cloud Computing Infrastructure in India. We encounter interesting, challenging & complex problems every day, and as a technical manager you can innovate to solve these issues and help drive Operations Excellence in all areas of your role.

• Managing and developing teams of engineers, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring highest levels of performance.
• Maintaining existing co‑located and in‑house Data Centers.
• Helping build and bring online new Data Centers.
• Constantly improving all our processes and procedures.
• Assisting & managing relationships with external vendors & contractors.
• Liaising with internal teams & management groups.
• Ensuring we adhere to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all our Data Centers.
• Creating and maintaining metrics on all aspects of our Data Centers and utilizing those metrics to drive positive changes.
• Assisting in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management, etc.

• Managed a team of at least 5 individuals for at least 3 years.
• Demonstrated continuous performance improvement of an existing team and capability in creating or growing a team.
• Experience managing high & low performing employees with conflict management skills.

• Experience dealing with high severity situations with clear understanding of blast implications of any issue/outage.
• Experience in Change Management & Fault Management.

• Proven experience dealing with external vendors, contractors & security companies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage incidents and conflicts when dealing with vendors.

• Demonstrated ability to improve both good and poor processes.
• Experience in process mapping, implementing remediation steps and showcasing business impact.
• Experience in Kaizen/Lean/Six Sigma is preferable.

• Health & Safety at the forefront of every manager’s mind.
• Ability to positively influence the safety culture of the Data Center organization.

• Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of engineering work managing large-scale services experience.
• 3+ years of managing technical teams with significant personnel management experience and examples of developing engineers and building successful teams.
