Role Summary
Own the operational performance of the business across all divisions reporting directly to the Managing Director Drive efficiency quality and consistency in the way Energia delivers its services spanning rental events and any associated functions Lead align and develop operational teams establish scalable processes and controls and translate the MD s strategic direction into day-to-day operational execution Act as the MD s primary delegate for all operational matters
Key Responsibilities- Take overall accountability for operational performance across all business divisions set and monitor KPIs service standards and delivery targets
- Act as the MD s operational deputy manage the business day-to-day freeing the MD to focus on strategy growth and key client relationships
- Lead develop and performance-manage divisional and functional heads across rental events logistics warehouse and support functions
- Design implement and continuously improve operational processes systems and controls to drive efficiency quality and scalability across the business
- Own resource planning and capacity management across divisions ensure the right people equipment and materials are in place to meet demand
- Lead and manage the annual CAPEX planning process evaluate asset investment proposals prioritise fleet and equipment acquisitions and ensure capital expenditure aligns with operational demand and business growth plans
- Own fleet reliability and asset performance across the business implement preventative maintenance programmes track equipment uptime and utilisation and drive continuous improvement in fleet availability and lifecycle management
- Work closely with finance to monitor CAPEX spend against budget assess return on asset investment and make data-driven recommendations on fleet expansion replacement or disposal
- Monitor and manage operational budgets in conjunction with finance identify cost savings and efficiency gains without compromising service quality
- Oversee health safety and compliance across all operational activities ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients suppliers and partners support the MD in resolving escalated operational issues
- Lead the planning and execution of major projects and events where cross-divisional coordination is required
- Provide the MD with regular structured operational reporting highlighting performance risks opportunities and recommendations
- Drive a culture of accountability continuous improvement and high performance across all operational teams
- Support the MD in evaluating new business opportunities operational expansions and strategic initiatives
- Fleet availability: maintain rental fleet availability at 95% or above, with preventative maintenance plan compliance of 98% or above, measured monthly.
- Service delivery: achieve 98% or above on-time delivery and SLA compliance across all divisions, with structured root cause analysis and corrective action for every miss.
- Cost and efficiency: deliver operational spend within approved budget and improve the operating cost-to-revenue ratio by a minimum of 5% year-on-year.
- Minimum 10+ years in operational leadership roles, with at least 3 years at a senior or head-of-function level.
- Proven track record managing multi-divisional or multi-site operations, ideally within rental, events, construction, logistics or related services industries.
- Strong people leadership skills with experience managing large, diverse operational teams.
- Experience owning or contributing to CAPEX planning and asset investment decisions, including fleet procurement, replacement cycles and lifecycle cost analysis.
- Demonstrable track record improving fleet reliability, asset utilisation and maintenance performance in an operational environment.
- Commercially astute with a solid understanding of P&L, budgeting and cost management.
- Degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office and operational management systems; experience with ERP or fleet/asset management platforms is desirable.
- Experience operating in KSA or the GCC region is strongly preferred.
- Natural leader who commands respect, leads by example and builds cohesive, high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with the operational discipline to translate plans into consistent, measurable execution.
- Calm and decisive under pressure; able to manage competing priorities across multiple divisions simultaneously.
- Strong communicator - equally effective with frontline crews, divisional managers and board-level stakeholders.
- Highly organised, data-driven and commercially minded.
Regular presence across operational sites and facilities required; flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods, major projects and events.
