Unit Sales Manager

To lead CBD Unit, the trade, and working with different affiliates of main principals to deliver sustained competitive advantage for all major brands at the point of purchase in alignment with CBD objectives, goals and strategies to achieve the measures in the market.

Strategy: Contribute to the development of the CBD unit objectives’ aligned with the overall strategy to ensure vertical and horizontal integration with other interfacing initiatives and departments across Abudawood.

Policies, Processes and Procedures: Assist in the development and implementation of CBD unit policies, processes, and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled.

Day- to-day operations: Supervise the day-to-day operations of the CBD unit to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established standards and procedures.

CBD unit operations: Implement the sales building blocks fundamentals to develop and monitor the operation, taking corrective actions as necessary to achieve volume targets in alignment with the district and Abudawood targets.

Monitor the freshness, expiry, damages within the concerned area of responsibility to ensure implementation of high standards of quality.

Ensure signing and implementing agreements with customer as per principals guidelines to achieve superior in store presence and optimal SKU’s.

Control and maximise the efficiency/report unit, spending of budgets/allocations, remaining within authorised limits, guidelines and deadlines to utilise these budgets in delivering unit objectives.

Business Development: Develop with Supervisor, Section Managers the Joint Business Plan and promotional calendar of the customers/channels to include shopper marketing ideas, in store solution and shopper research to achieve unit/channel objectives.

Work closely with shopper marketing, in-store innovation and below the line agencies to achieve competitive advantage in the market as per set guidelines.

Conduct business analysis to identify & lead new ideas and projects that are related to category management, in store solutions, shopper marketing or channel development to achieve unique competitive edge and deliver company volume objectives.

People Management: Supervise the activities and work of subordinates by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in accordance with set individual targets.

Budget: Assist in the preparation of CBD unit’s budget by preparing analysis and data related to specific elements as directed.

Reporting: Review all department reports for accuracy and in order to ensure that they conform with Abudawood and department requirements, policies and standards.

Report all markets studies needed (distribution, competitive) in the market using account penetration to ensure right planning, forecasting and early response from the company.

Safety, Health & Environment: Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures across the department in order to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
