We are hiring an experienced Upholstery Manager to lead and oversee upholstery operations within a high‑volume furniture and joinery manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands‑on expertise in upholstery techniques along with proven team management skills, ensuring superior product quality, efficient production flow, and on‑time delivery of upholstered furniture and fixtures. This role is well suited for professionals with a background in factory‑based upholstery production, who can work closely with production, carpentry, and quality teams to meet project requirements and finishing standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise upholstery teams and assign daily production tasks
- Ensure all upholstery work meets approved quality standards, drawings, and specifications
- Oversee the complete upholstery process including cutting, stitching, padding, fabric selection, and final finishing
- Coordinate with Production, Carpentry, and Quality Control teams to align schedules and resolve issues
- Identify and resolve technical or workmanship challenges during production
- Monitor and control material usage such as fabrics, foam, and accessories to minimize waste
- Maintain upholstery tools, machines, and workstations
- Ensure compliance with factory safety standards and best practices
- Continuously improve upholstery methods and workflow efficiency
- 5 to 8 years of experience in upholstery production within a factory or furniture manufacturing environment
- Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is essential
- Strong knowledge of upholstery materials including fabrics, foam, stitching techniques, and accessories
- Ability to read and interpret furniture drawings, detailing, and finishing requirements
- Good leadership, planning, and problem‑solving abilities
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, project‑driven production setup
