Role OverviewOur confidential client is seeking a Pump Operator in Riyadh to operate and manage concrete pump equipment safely and efficiently across project sites, ensuring timely and accurate concrete placement in line with quality, safety, and operational standards, while supporting smooth coordination between dispatch, plant, site teams, and drivers to deliver reliable service and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Pump Operation & Concrete Placement:
Operate concrete pump trucks and related equipment safely and efficiently at project sites; ensure proper setup of boom, pipeline, hoses, outriggers, and safety barriers before pumping begins; manage concrete flow during casting activities to achieve smooth and accurate placement. - Site Preparation & Setup:
Inspect site access, ground condition, setup area, and pumping path before operation; confirm equipment positioning is safe and suitable for pumping activities; coordinate with site supervisors and drivers on sequence, location, and casting readiness. - Equipment Inspection & Readiness:
Conduct daily pre-start checks on pump systems, hydraulic components, boom functionality, pipeline condition, tires, outriggers, fluid levels, and safety devices; identify abnormalities and report defects immediately to maintenance or supervisors. - Cleaning & Preventive Care:
Perform proper cleaning of pipelines, hopper, boom lines, and pump components after each job; maintain the pump unit in clean and serviceable condition; support preventive maintenance routines and ensure the equipment remains operationally ready. - Safety & Compliance:
Follow all company HSE procedures, site rules, and operational instructions during mobilization, setup, pumping, cleaning, and demobilization; use required PPE at all times; stop work and elevate when unsafe conditions exist. - Coordination with Operations & Dispatch:
Communicate effectively with dispatch, plant teams, drivers, and site representatives regarding arrival, setup readiness, pumping sequence, delays, or operational issues; help ensure pumping activities are completed with minimum disruption and according to schedule. - Quality Support:
Monitor pumping performance to reduce segregation, blockages, spillages, delays, or wastage; support proper handling of concrete during placement to protect product quality and customer satisfaction. - Breakdown Reporting & Troubleshooting:
Respond quickly to minor pump issues and basic operational faults; upscale mechanical, hydraulic, or safety-related failures to the relevant team without delay; support maintenance teams during repairs where needed. - Documentation & Reporting:
Record job details accurately, including start/end times, pumping duration, delays, issues, cleaning completion, and basic equipment observations; report incidents, near misses, or damage immediately through the proper channels. - Customer & Site Interaction:
Represent the company professionally at customer sites; maintain respectful and practical coordination with site engineers, foremen, and contractor teams to ensure efficient execution and positive service delivery.
- 3+ years of experience operating concrete pumps within a ready-mix concrete company, concrete pumping contractor, or related construction materials environment.
- Proven hands‑on experience in operating boom pumps and/or line pumps on active construction sites.
- Good understanding of concrete pumping processes, site setup requirements, equipment safety, and cleaning procedures.
- Ability to inspect equipment condition, detect basic operating issues, and coordinate effectively with dispatch, maintenance, and site teams.
