Machine Operator

The Machine Operator in the cable manufacturing industry is responsible for operating and monitoring production machines used in cable manufacturing processes such as extrusion, stranding, bunching, armouring, laying, and wire drawing. The operator ensures production targets, product quality, safety standards, and machine efficiency are maintained.

• Operate cable manufacturing machines as per production requirements.
• Set up machines according to cable size, type, and specifications.
• Monitor machine operations and ensure smooth production flow.
• Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Check raw materials before machine loading.
• Maintain product quality according to company and customer standards.
• Reduce material wastage and improve production efficiency.
• Record daily production details and machine performance.
• Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, and stores departments.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the work area.
• Report machine breakdowns, defects, and safety concerns immediately.
• Support preventive maintenance activities when required.

• Basic knowledge of cable manufacturing processes.
• Ability to operate industrial production machinery.
• PP (Production Planning)
• MM (Material Management)
• Good computer and data entry skills.
• Understanding of quality and safety standards.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and in shift schedules.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.

• High School / Diploma in:
• Mechanical
• Electrical
• Production or related field

• 1–5 years of experience in cable manufacturing or industrial production.
• Experience in extrusion, stranding, bunching, armouring, or laying operations preferred.
