Position: New Product Development Specialist

New Product Development (NPD) Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and innovative New Product Development (NPD) Specialist to join our food manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and improving bakery, pastry, confectionery, and dessert products, while ensuring product quality, cost efficiency, manufacturability, and alignment with market trends and customer expectations.

This role will work closely with Production, Quality, Procurement, and Commercial teams to support the development and successful launch of new products.

Key Responsibilitie
  • sDevelop new bakery, pastry, confectionery, and dessert products from concept to launch
  • .Improve existing products through recipe optimization, quality enhancement, and cost reduction initiatives
  • .Conduct product trials and pilot runs to validate formulations and production feasibility
  • .Collaborate with Production, Quality, Procurement, and Sales teams throughout the development process
  • .Prepare and maintain product specifications, recipes, and technical documentation
  • .Evaluate raw materials and ingredients for product development and improvement projects
  • .Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor products to identify innovation opportunities
  • .Support factory implementation and scale-up activities for newly developed products
  • .Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • .Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and operational efficiency
.Requirement
  • sBachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related field
  • .Minimum 3–5 years of experience in New Product Development within the food manufacturing industry
  • .Strong experience in bakery, pastry, confectionery, dessert, or snack products
  • .Knowledge of food ingredients, formulations, and manufacturing processes
  • .Experience conducting product trials, validations, and factory implementation
  • .Understanding of food safety and quality standards
  • .Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • .Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment
  • .Good command of English
