Machine Operator

JOB PURPOSE

The basic job of a process operator is to run the process line and equipment systematically and effectively, achieving production targets by increasing line efficiency and minimizing waste. The operator gathers hourly data, conducts quality wall meetings, maintains hygiene, alerts on food safety hazards, and summarizes daily material usage.

• Operate, control, and maintain processing equipment to convert raw materials into final product in accordance with KPIs.
• Run the line systematically and efficiently, performing and reporting hourly process control checks.
• Conduct quality wall meetings at required intervals.
• Ensure raw materials are available for production runs near the line.
• Maintain equipment hygiene and ensure the equipment of his stations is in good working condition.
• Achieve material efficiency targets set by the business.
• Highlight daily issues to direct managers and communicate problems and activities to other shifts.
• Collect and report material wastage; calculate material efficiency daily.
• Inform engineering of equipment maintenance/repair needs via MP2.
• Manage process workers on his line: break time, cleaning during change, time in/out, and conduct running patrol with proper checklist.
• Report health hazards within his area to immediate manager.
• Ensure quality products are produced at all times.
• Support IPS and food safety audits.
• Optimize energy usage (water, gas, electricity).
• Contribute to continual improvement of the EHS Management System and meet EHS targets.

• Minimum of two years manufacturing processing experience or a tertiary background (waivable).
• At least an industrial training institute (ITI) graduate.
• Basic communication skills.
• Good working attitude and ability to operate process equipment independently.
