Senior ELV Engineer - Data Centre

• Lead and manage all ELV systems engineering, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning activities for large‑scale Data Centre construction projects.
• Oversee delivery of mission‑critical ELV infrastructure that supports security, monitoring, communications, life safety, and operational technology systems within resilient Data Centre environments.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, MEP teams, commissioning specialists, vendors, and client representatives to ensure ELV systems are installed, tested, commissioned and integrated in accordance with project specifications, industry standards and client operational requirements.
• Plan, coordinate, install and manage all ELV systems across Data Centre facilities, including structured cabling, fibre optic networks, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, public address, intercom, BMS interfaces, data networking, clock, emergency communication, and security management platforms.
• Ensure ELV infrastructure supports Data Centre operations and is seamlessly integrated with security, network, building and operational technology systems; maintain programme schedules and minimize interface conflicts.
• Review design documents, technical specifications, system architecture drawings, network layouts, shop drawings, material submittals and method statements to verify compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Manage installation and testing of structured cabling and fibre optic infrastructure; ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements, coordinate cable routing, certification testing, labelling and documentation.
• Lead implementation and integration of Data Centre security systems including CCTV, video management, biometric access control, perimeter security, intrusion detection, visitor management and command centre technologies.
• Ensure ELV installations are executed in accordance with approved quality management procedures, project specifications, client standards and industry best practices; oversee inspections, testing, system verification, quality audits, punch list management and non‑conformance resolution.
• Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs workplace on a full‑time basis, as required by the nature of the role.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 12–15 years of experience in ELV systems engineering and construction, including at least 5 years on large‑scale Data Centre, mission‑critical, technology or complex infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience delivering integrated ELV systems within high‑security and high‑availability environments.
