Trio Services is hiring an experienced PS Core Engineer to support the design, optimization, and performance management of Ericsson Packet Core networks. This role is essential for ensuring reliable mobile broadband connectivity across 4G/5G networks while driving continuous improvements in network quality and customer experience.

As a PS Core Engineer, you will work with advanced Ericsson EPC, SAPC, and 5G Core SA systems to maintain optimal network availability and efficiency. You will perform daily node health checks, troubleshoot major service-impacting incidents, and collaborate closely with planning, transmission, RAN, and cloud teams. Your responsibilities include integrating new virtualized PS Core nodes, analyzing KPIs, optimizing subscriber session handling, and ensuring seamless service continuity across multi-generation mobile networks.

• Perform daily health checks and monitor alarms on PS Core nodes (MME, SGSN, GGSN, EPG, DNS/PCC/PCG, SAPC, SMF/UPF)
• Troubleshoot network faults, performance degradation, and capacity bottlenecks
• Manage subscriber sessions, PDP contexts, bearer setup, and IMSI tracing
• Implement new APNs, IMSI ranges, QoS profiles, and rating groups
• Configure PCC rules, PDR/QER/FAR/URR policies and interface with PCRF/SAPC
• Configure DNS/NAPTR/SRV records for EPC/IMS services
• Support onboarding and integration of virtualized nodes (vEPG, vMME, vUPF on cloud/K8s)
• Plan and execute software upgrades, patches, and capacity expansions
• Analyze EPC/5GC KPIs (attach success, bearer setup, handovers, latency, throughput)
• Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, Expect, and AWK for logs and KPIs

• Strong hands-on experience with Ericsson PS Core nodes: SGSN-MME, EPG (GGSN/PGW/SGW), PCC/PCG, SAPC, DRA, SMF/UPF
• Knowledge of 2G/3G/4G/5G core call flows (Attach, TAU/RAU, Handover, Session Management)
• Understanding of protocols: GTP-C/U, Diameter, Radius, HTTP/2, SIP, SCTP, TCP/UDP/IP
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Open Stack, Kubernetes, Docker)
• Proficiency with Ericsson CLI (gsh, vshell, epg, pcc)
• Strong OSS/BSS, ENM, Net Act, ENIQ, Wireshark experience
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle high-priority incidents under pressure
• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Experience with cloud-native 5G Core (dual-mode 5GC, CNIS, SMF/UPF integration)
• Vendor certifications (Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei)
• Scripting for automation frameworks or CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to multi-vendor packet core environments
• Understanding of IMS, VoLTE, and network orchestration
