Water Treatment Plant Operator

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control water treatment processes using SCADA systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency of all plant equipment.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment (pumps, filters, clarifiers, etc.) and identify any malfunctions or maintenance needs proactively.
• Conduct water quality testing and analysis, interpreting results to make informed adjustments to chemical feed rates and treatment processes.
• Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including daily logs, chemical usage, and maintenance activities in compliance with regulatory standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's degree in environmental science or a related field is preferred.
• Possession of a valid Water Treatment Plant Operator certification, issued by a recognized regulatory agency, is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the operation of a water treatment plant, with hands‑on experience in all aspects of the treatment process.
• Experience in municipal water treatment operations is preferred.
