Packaging & Processing Lead

Assists in providing work direction and training of employees, adds organizational and visual control improvements, and according to workload analysis helps to perform any combination of tasks.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior work experience is not mandatory but preferred. Ability to follow directions.

Ability to read a clock. Read and write in English.

Working around, observing and physically interacting with packaging machine that performs one or more of the following functions: filling, labeling and packaging containers. Must stand on 6” high platform to monitor machine. Use of 3 ½ foot high ladder to reach all parts of machine to perform cleaning. Very repetitious job function. Noise level is typical of a Packaging/Manufacturing environment. Machine has many moving parts and sharp edges.

• Assign and communicate work direction from supervisor.
• System reporting for job completion and work times
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Give input to and improve packaging procedures.

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Two years of work experience in an applicable area: packaging, shipping, light assembly
• Experience as a leader or organizer of people or tasks
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to learn job tasks in the department alongside of the team
