We are looking for a Production Planning Technician to support and coordinate the planning and scheduling of carton production orders based on customer requirements The role is responsible for preparing production schedules determining the appropriate sequence for machine operations monitoring raw material requirements and coordinating with Production Warehouse and Quality teams to ensure orders are completed on time and according to the production plan
Key Responsibilities- Plan and schedule carton production orders according to customer orders and required delivery dates
- Prepare daily and weekly production plans for different machines and production lines
- Determine the appropriate machine operating sequence to optimize production capacity and minimize downtime and setup time
- Review production orders and ensure that all required raw materials especially paper and carton materials are available
- Follow up on required quantities of paper materials and other production inputs
- Coordinate closely with Production Warehouse Quality Purchasing and Sales Customer Service departments
- Monitor the progress of each production order and ensure completion according to the approved schedule
- Follow up on machine productivity and production capacity
- Record actual production quantities and compare them with the planned quantities
- Analyze production variances and identify reasons for delays or deviations from the plan
- Take appropriate action and coordinate with relevant departments when there are production delays material shortages machine breakdowns or changes in customer orders
- Update production schedules whenever there are changes in priorities or delivery requirements
- Monitor planned vs actual production and prepare regular reports
- Maintain accurate records of production plans actual output machine productivity and order status
- Support management in identifying opportunities to improve production efficiency and machine utilization
- Ensure that production priorities are clearly communicated to the relevant teams
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Planning, Manufacturing, or a related field .
- Previous experience in production planning within a carton, paper, packaging, printing, or manufacturing factory is highly preferred.
- Good understanding of production processes and machine capacity.
- Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and material requirements.
- Good command of Microsoft Excel .
- Experience with ERP/MRP or production planning systems is preferred.
- Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple production orders simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with Production, Warehouse, and Quality teams.
