Test Engineer – Mobile Phones (MBG)

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (Special Integrated Logistics Zone)

Every phone that comes off our line has to be flashed, tested and proven ready for the customer. As a Test Engineer in Lenovo’s Mobile Business Group (MBG) in Riyadh, you’ll make sure that happens reliably, at speed and at scale.

You’ll prepare, validate and improve the production test processes, stations and configurations behind our phone manufacturing at every stage: new product introduction (NPI), line qualification, pilot runs, ramp-up and mass production. When a test fails or a station misbehaves, you’ll find the cause quickly and fix it. That protects product quality and keeps the line ready to run.

• Set up, validate and maintain production test stations, test equipment and fixtures
• Deploy test software and manage test code and configurations under change control
• Support software flashing, functional testing, RF testing and other phone test stages on the line
• Analyze test failures, logs and station abnormalities, and resolve software, equipment and connectivity issues
• Make sure test data uploads correctly to the MES for full traceability
• Follow corrective actions through to closure and drive improvements in yield and test efficiency
• Work with Production, Quality, Engineering, suppliers and global Lenovo teams, and give hands‑on support when urgent issues come up

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronic, Electrical, Computer or Communication Engineering, Automation, Computer Science or a related field
• 2+ years in test engineering for mobile phone, consumer electronics or electronics manufacturing (preferred)
• A good understanding of phone production testing: flashing, functional testing and RF testing
• Good written and spoken English
• Willingness to work on the production floor during ramp‑up and mass production
