Purpose of the Project
The Senior Manager – SME Cards Portfolio Growth, Customer Lifecycle and Engagement will drive the performance and profitability of the SME Cards portfolio after card issuance and activation. The role owns the end‑to‑end customer lifecycle strategy, focusing on increasing card activation, spend, engagement, enrollment, loyalty, retention and portfolio profitability.
Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities- Portfolio Growth Strategy – Develop and execute the SME Cards portfolio growth strategy aligned with SME and Cards business objectives, define annual and quarterly growth targets, and identify opportunities through data analysis, segmentation and market intelligence.
- Customer Lifecycle Management – Own the end‑to‑end SME Cards customer lifecycle framework, create trigger‑based campaigns, design retention programs and next‑best‑action frameworks to boost engagement and wallet share.
- Spend Stimulation & Portfolio Utilization – Increase card spend across domestic, e‑commerce and international transactions, run activation programs for newly activated cards, and design targeted offers, promotions and merchant‑funded campaigns to stimulate growth.
- e‑Commerce Growth & Digital Engagement – Accelerate e‑commerce and digital payment adoption among SME customers, collaborate with Digital Banking teams to improve the online journey, and shift payment behavior toward card‑based transactions.
- Loyalty, Rewards & Customer Engagement – Manage and optimize the SME Cards loyalty and rewards proposition, design campaigns that drive spend growth and retention, and recommend enhancements based on market trends and customer insights.
- Cross‑Sell & Portfolio Deepening – Develop and execute targeted cross‑sell and upsell campaigns with SME Banking, Business Banking and Product teams, identify high‑potential opportunities, and measure campaign effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics or a related field.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of banking experience.
- Proven experience managing spend stimulation, activation, retention, reactivation and customer engagement programs.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing cross‑sell and upsell strategies within banking environments.
- Strong understanding of card economics, customer profitability, loyalty ecosystems and customer journey management.
- Experience working with CRM platforms and campaign management tools; GCC/KSA banking experience strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for customer segmentation, campaign targeting, portfolio analysis and performance reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SAS or similar analytics tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written, verbal, presentation);
Arabic preferred.
- Previous experience within Banking, Digital Payment & Card solutions, or the Fin Tech industry.
- Regional experience, including working in a fast‑paced matrix organisation.
- Ability to troubleshoot payment issues, optimize processes and make data‑driven decisions.
- Good understanding of payment systems, digital platforms, system workflows, security basics and industry technologies.
- Understanding of regional regulations across financial services or payment networks.
